IT'S NOT ABOUT BEING TOUGH,BUT BEING ADVENTUROUS

Just had a fun trip to Bukit Tabur East ,the Crystal Hill Eastern Side, this morning.I was invited by my friend Alvin Chang for this trip,Well since it was quite a while that I have not gone for hiking I jumped at his offer. He was kind enough to offer me a ride to our destination. we left Klang together with his companion, Esther Leong around 4.30 am and headed for our rendezvous near Taman Melawati. Due to some technical problem with the GPS, we found ourselves in some unknown place As soon as we reliased we were taken for a "ride" we checked with our other Gps, Gary"mountain" Loong, who directed us to the meeting place and upon arrival headed for Bukit Tabur. The team was led by William Foo with Edwin who acted as a sweeper at the back of the line to ensure no one went astray. As we made our climb up the hill , a thought run through my mind. silly old man what are you doing here when you should be in your warm bed at home.? Every hills was different and this one was no exception. It was quite risky as the path was very narrow. most of the time we were walking on the crystal quartz-rich ridge. walking in the dark we had to be extra careful, one wrong slip it will be a long way down. After an hour and half or so we reached one of the peak where we stopped for a while to admired the scenery and view the klang gate dam, while waiting for the sun rise. with the cool breeze carressing our faces. The view from the top was just breath taking. Those with cameras started taking photos to captured what ever they fancied, particulary the sunrise. Once that was done we continued the climb to the peak. some who had climbed before stayed back while the first timers eagerly waited for their turn to climb up to the peak. As both hands were needed to climb , I left my hiking stick with a friend and make my way up.I made it almost with no problem. It is not about being tough, but rather about being adventurous. It is a about conquering your fear, the unknown. when you have done it, you will find such satisfaction. I could see the Kuala lumpur tower, the twin towers as well as part of Kuala Lumpur city from the top. what a spectacular view . Now I looked forward to climb on the western side. I am grateful for the team ,and those who organised this trip. It was very well coordinated trip indeed. what a day, what an adventure!

Anniversary Pledge

My dearest wife
Two decades Plus eight today
I loved you then, I certainly still do now
Another 28 or more?
But atlas I fear this body might not obey
I will appreciate every moment now
Happy 28th Anniversary Today
to be together is blest
But to be with Him even far better
Let's make a pledge this day
When the roll is called yonder
Let's be there!

THE RACE I MISSED

Got up this morning, rather excited and headed for the stadium. it's gonna be my maiden run.I was looking forward to this the whole week. I was on my way almost near to my destination, I saw a lone runner with the t-shirt, the same one I was wearing. Horrors of horrors, it then dawn upon me, I might have been late. No, no, I refused to believe that. Going towards the stadium there were marshalls, policemen every where. The truth sets in. I was indeed late!
What is the moral of this story.? you might have registered, paid your dues and have all the necessary outfit, and even be ready, but unless you are in the race. It don't count. you have to run together with every one. Lesson learnt be on time.and be ready! I might missed this race, but I sure don't want to miss the race Paul is taking about.
see more on the articles here.

Gotta run now, I dont want to be late for church.

FLOWERS OR NO FLOWERS LEH?

Last night at our "Tong Yen" session with some friends, the topic of sending flowers to spouse cropped up. One newly wedded was wondering why her spouse dont (or lack of it) send her flowers anymore. our learned and experience friend Jason ,while he is not against giving gifts to spouse, suggested we should be more practical ; when buying gifts the receivers should be able to use them. He is opioned flowers are a wasted of money, as they are only good to look at for a while since they withered off after a couple of days. He even suggested to my friend, "plant your own flowers if you like them so much." sometimes I am not sure when he is serious. But what my friend shared does makes sense.
What do you think?? Should we do away giving flowers? Anyone who wishes to differs??
Ladies is it a must to have your flowers??
