SKY DIVING ANYONE??

I got an invitation from one of the girl I used to taught in the Buckaroos(a uniform group )

to join her in Sky Diving. Sure it looks tempting and thrilling, but the thought of jumping from 5000 feet above sea level is not something that I can digest easily. I have a confession, actually the thoughts of even flying scare me. So I did the next best things I sent the invitation to friends whom I thought might enjoy the thrills. But for now I think I will just enjoyed seeing them take the plunge. Maybe I should try bungee jumping first? Well it's just a thought. :P

my adventure at Broga, semenyih

This morning I got up early at 3.50 am , before the alarm could ring. I always make it a point to keep appointment on time and I do hate when people are late, so I have set a standard to be on time whenever there is an appointment. My friend Darren was suppose to pick me up at 4.15 am, so I dont want to be late. after waiting for 10 mins I sent him a text message .He responsed saying he will be late due to someone he was suppose to pick up woke up late. So I walk up to the main road to wait for him as the mosquitos was having a feast while I was waiting at the front gate of my home. After a while he finally turned up and we headed to the federal highway to rendevous with more people. As soon as everybody who was suppose to join the trip turn up. We reached Broga at about 6.00am. We took out our torch lights and started our journey up the hill. It must have been at least 25 years or so I last had a hiking trip. The first time I did it was when I was in school and later on when I was in the royal rangers ministry(a uniformed programme for children) I had no difficulty to climb those steep hills. I guess my signing up with a personal trainer who happen to be my god daughter pays off. Thanks 宝贝.
Finally we make it to the top just in time to witness the sunrise. It was a beautiful sight. After an hour or so we make our way down to the town for breakfast before heading for home.
I enjoyed the trip and do not mind to go back again.
Here are some of the photos of the trip.

Life is fragile. handle with prayers

I have heard of this saying, but never really thought much about it, until now.
Yesterday morning I got a call from a Colleague that our mutual friend had passed away. I did a check with his office and confirmed and filled me in on how he died. It seems he was crossing the road and was ran over by a motor cylist.
my wife too call up to say she just saw him weeks ago, and just couldnt believe he is gone.
Life if so uncertain. I got a sms from another colleague of mine with more update. He was due to retire this year and had plan to use his EPF money to visit china with his wife. At atlas this was never to be. Death comes with no warning. He was just about my age.
In the Bible , the book of James says.. what is your life? you are a mist that appear for a little while and then vanishes. Hebrew 9:27 says And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. Death is something nobody wants to talk about, but like it or not it will comes.
Being a christian I have no fear of death itself , but it is the preparation which I need to address.
Am I ready to meet my maker. Have I done enough? what about the basis things I need to do like making a will.? I have been putting this off so many times even though I know how important this is. Even though I dont have any properties . The only things I owed is a house and a car, but without a will it will create alot of inconvenience for my family should I died suddenly. I have seen instant of this not too long ago when one of a cell member passed away and the wife have to go through the inconvenience process with the government agencies etc.
How true life is fragile..we need to handle with prayers.

My Gym Experience

Sometimes last year found myself at the entrance of the local gym. Just out of curiousity I ask for some brochures and rates. There was none instead I was introduced to a sales person who
brief me on the various packages, and before I knew it I was signing on the dot dot lines.
After almost a year I am trying to recollect what I had gone through at the gym...
Apart from the free personal training I tried out some of the group excercise just for fun.

June 14th:Joined the body combat class. surprised I lasted the 1 hour duration.
june 18th 2008 attend the 2nd class of body combat, this time my instructor was a lady, a bit different style. still tiring but I manage to last through out the 1 hour plus and I think I will continue attending the class and see what will it do to my body.Next week she wants the class to dress in black. cool.june:24th: body combat 36. music to james bond.etc work out another hour. hope to improve my endurance.will go for other class under and different intructor and see if there is any difference.june 25th :another instructor but same body combat version.(36) weight: 61.6kg. will have another go with another instructor this sunday. to catch up on the move. june 28 another new instructor, who was very good.give precise and clear instruction and I was able to follow though out. but unfortunately today was her last day..just when I was begining to enjoy her teaching.weigh again today: 60.2 kg. either the scale is giving a wrong reading or I have really loss some weight.. yahoo.. a couple more kg i would be sastified. jUNE 29: 2nd last class with Cheng the trainer. her last will be next tuesday. so sad she had to go. hoping she could stay as she really put her heart in the workout. I think I have learnt some of the moves. will continue till the end of the workout. july 3rd: surprise our last trainer came in today. good to see Cheng again. good work out. enjoying every bit of it. Hope she will continue to come back.jul 5th a new instructer today by the name of alvin. quite ok. can follow through. he will be taking the rest of the session.I was told.weigh again . today's reading 60.8kg. some weight gain. need to work harder.jul 17: body combat.today is a mixure of the old releases. a bit difficult and tiring. have to keep going. jul 21, 22 & 23rd attend combat classes three days in a row. should i skip tomorrow's class? aug 6th: still mixed combat , which is the old release ,but at least I got to learnt them. some of the work out are fine. Aug 11th: Really pushing myself to the limit and give all out. really sweat out during the hour work out.am now nearer to my goal. weight today: 58.6. another 1 kg to go.Aug 18th: Went for Body pump, cos no combat class on Tues(instructin gone back to home town ) this is my 2nd class and I still will be back more often. have also have another try on body attack, but quit half way. just couldnot fit in. this is just for for me.!weight:60.1?? what happen. ?? all the hard work still no results!!?I think will not weight again until a couple of month as this is so dicouraging! aug 21 :weight again this time just in towel and the weight:? taa laa:58.6 kgs! yes!!sept 1st:some of my pants which were tight for me are now a bit loose.so i tried some of my old pants that were too tight for me and now they fit like a glove with some extra inch to spare. so I must have been loosing weight.. I think I have achieved my goal.

april 2009. my current weight is 56.3
apart from body combat, I did tried out body step which as fun,but not to my liking.
Have another go at body pump which I stopped for a while. begining to enjoy it again.
I have also tried RPM ,which is like racing bike , except the bike is stationary. The instructor will lead the class through some imaginary hill climbs, road etc. 50 mins per session. quite enjoyable. I survive this as well.

what's she really like??

One of my favourite song byElvis.

What's she really like
The girl that you see me with,
What's she really like
The one I’m so dreamy with.
Well, let me tell you she's wonderful
She's marvelous and she's mine.

Told about her lips, her lips are so thrillable.
I can't describe her kiss, in words of one syllable.
She's even more than adorable,
And what's moreable; she's all mine.

You're asking if she loves me,
Well, you don't know the half.
You're wondering if she'll leave me,
Ha, ha, ha, don't make me laugh...

What's she really like,
The girl I go on about.
What's she really like,
The one I’m so gone about.
All I can say, she's wonderful,
She's marvelous and she's mine...

You're asking if she loves me,
Well, you don't know the half.
You're wondering if she'll leave me,
Ha, ha, ha, don't make me laugh...

What's she really like,
The girl I go on about.
What's she really like,
The one I’m so gone about.
All I can say, she's wonderful,
She's marvelous and she's mine...
Adorable and she's mine,
Marvelous and she's mine,
Wonderful and she's mine...

In Search Of...: Looking Back...

Looking Back...

There were good times, and there were bad moments, but I like to ponder on the good side of things. These are the things we can be grateful for.
Sure I had my disappointment but then who doesnt?
One thing I am grateful is my family , especially my lovely wife who is the pillar of the family. She is there to ensure everything is taken care of in the family. what will I do without you dear?
I have two grown up sons , the elderest Reuben is 27 and the youngest Joel is 22. Then of course my two lovely god daughters, snow and piper. What more can a man ask for ? I am over joyed with this new role ,but my wife does not share this enthusiasm, having seen me being hurt once
when I first play this role. She cautioned me, no matter what we do or how much love we give to them , they are after all someone's daughters. I suppose she is right , but I just cant help it. I enjoyed doing it and even if I am hurt again, I will not regret it.

The other thing I am thankful for are friends. I am very blessed to have found some very good friends over the years. Some of them have a great inpact on my life. I have also learnt not every body share the same view when it comes to making friends., as I discovered some are just happy to remain casual friends.- nothing more. they are not interested in building relationship.
